I Wonder ...

We are continuing to  wonder about things in our environment. This week we wondered how things would look through different coloured glasses so we made our own glasses - some with red lenses and others with green lessons.
Before we made our glasses we looked through our classroom window and spoke about what we could see in the playground. We saw many things, such as  green grass, orange litter, blue monkeybars, a yellow steering wheel, blue running track and brown crunchy leaves.
We made our glasses and then went outside to explore these objects through the different coloured glasses.
We discovered a few things -
  • the green lenses didn't change the colour of things as much as the red lenses
  • the green colours looked purple through the red lenses
  • the clouds look pink through the red glasses
  • the blue rubbish bins looked purple through the red lenses
We are going to mix paints next week so we are beginning to wonder how these colours will change.

It's amazing how colours change when we mix them! Your eyes play tricks when you have your 'coloured glasses on!' Some people told me i was GREEN! ..and then someone else told me I was PINK and that my blue top was PURPLE!! Have fun mixing paint next week! I bet you'll make some great paintings too!
