As part of our ending to our inquiry on - "how has life changed over time?' we have made a time capsule. Each of us have put in some items in a sealed plastic bag and we will open the time capsule when we are in Year 5/6. It will be interesting to see what changes over this time!

Celebration of Learning Term 4 on PhotoPeach
We were able to come to school dressed in olden day clothes. Some of us were maids, sports stars, little boys and girls and rich people. We had great fun sharing our costume ideas.

In the olden days, children often made their own toys. On Friday we created our own dolls. As we selected material for clothes and pasted on wool for hair, the dolls quickly became our new little toys.

We have had interesting discussions about art this past week - from the beautiful impressionist sculptures of Edgar Degas to the amazing urban paintings of Jeffrey Smart. We hope you enjoy our creations.
On Friday we explored 'Bark Art'. We collected various types of bark and leaves from around our school. We discussed and looked at famous Australian landscapes such as paintings by Hans Heysen, Albert Namatjira and 'The Pioneer' by Frederick McCubbin. We then created our own bark art landscapes.
